HC camp

Whoo hoo! Finally back from HC camp.

And i must say... despite the non- stop PT, the scolding from ICs, the mental torture, and much confusion when we should address our seniors formally as ICs and when we can joke about with them...

HC camp rawked!!!!!

Especially ALPHA!!!

I must say the alpha seniors are really the coolest. You can see their really super bonded, much more than the other house comittees. Hopefully we'll soon be like them too.

HC camp- day 1

The camp officially started when we reported at 4pm on friday. Alpha was late as we gathered under LT1 first and were waiting for each other. Then, the seniors started to pump us and check if we brought any extra stuff. Jin jie even scolded me for tucking a strand of hair behind my ear. That... was the start of hell we went through. We held at pumping positions for rather long and when each house took turns to put our stuff in dance studio we continued in pumping positions. Initially, i thought all of us had to hold at the standard pumping position, so i did. In the end, i saw all other girls at girls pumping positions and i changed. Seriously... it was worse! Girls pumping position involved kneeling with palms down on the rough track and it was SOOOOO painful!!!!!

Later, we were given free time to start planning some activities like games and the performence we had to carry out during the camp. We also talked to our seniors. After that we could leave for dance concert with out own friends. Me, Wilson and Jon left the team to go join Caroline, Xinhui Xiangting for dinner since our tickets were with them. May couldn't make it in time. We met Beverlin, one of our alpha seniors on the train. Think she thought i was kinda weird since i was leaving with the two guys... she was like... " Err... so... whats the connection?"

Haha... then I pointed to Wilson and said... " HIs somebody is my good friend." Wahahaha!

Dance concert seriously rawked, especially our alpha senior Yinghuan. I always knew she was a good dancer... but seriously... that nite... she rawked. The whole concert was definitely worth much more than $16 bucks. But i personally felt SA dance was not as good as their were known to be.

After the concert, we reported outside the theatre and started out big walk from KALLANG BACK TO TJC!!!!! Ironically, after we walked about a few minutes, we came across the banner indicating the position of the real big walk which was on sunday. Seriously, it was really VERY VERY VERY FAR! We had one hour to get back which was kinda impossible but still we pushed on and brisk walked or jogged the way. Alpha was assigned to walk through Geylang and that was the weirdest part of the walk. All of us were dressed in black and denim while the seniors were in camp tee so we looked like one whole gang charging to a fight. Then on the way, we walked past the alleys with the huge boob women sitting and waiting and the lecherous uncles staring around. Eeew!

The guys were kinda dissappointed thought that none of them were approached.

Jon and a few other guys were really nice to offer to help us carry our stuff and stopped cars on roads or held branches that blocked the roads. Other girls like Amanda and Anh also constantly offered us water. We wanted to run on the way but Kamun started hyperventilating. I was kinda scared when that happened and thought of what May told me about SC camp and wondered if we were gonna start falling out like that one by one. Luckily, Kamun recovered after a while and continued. We took approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes to walk back. Woohoo! We were second behind Beta. Thanks to all seniors like Yong Qi, Yenliang, Jon Lim, Ben Lau, Adilah and many more who jogged with us and pushed us to go on. And cheers for Natalia who ran back first despite her knee injury.

Seriously, I think Arvin and the whole Beta house com's kinda insane. They made the whole Beta house com run dunno how many rounds around the track after they came back from the walk while the whole Alpha including the seniors just lay down on the track and star gazed. Talk about contrast man! Then we did a really nice reflection session on today's walk. After that, we went to bath where we got to know the whole Beta house com girls. Haha! Toilet bonding. Of course, I only didn't know one girl. After that, we went to sleep. I couldn't sleep the whole night even though i was very tired.

Day 2

The next morning we woke at five plus. Amanda woke us early cause she couldn't sleep whole night. Haha! Anyway, we realised we were super early and could have slept like half an hour more. Then, we started morning PT. THAT WAS REALLY SHIT!!!!!

We assembled on the track and ran half a round to the right D area and did jumping jacks for the names of all Alpha people (eg. Jennifer-J-E-N-N-I-F-E-R-Jennifer) and got pumped for other stupid stuff like captains not standing at the head of the house. Then we ran to the left D area and did 30 pumpings and sit ups. THen we ran back to the right D area to do gamma and beta jumping jacks then we ran to the left D area to do something like a combination of pumpings and starjumps. Then we did for delta and it was over. I almost died there. Seriously, it was very very tough.

Then we had house breakfast. The seniors pretended they didn't want to eat but wanted us to serve them really. So we took break and spread and did for them. After that, we started our Amazing race which was held at Orchard. Initially, it was rather alright but we realised we brought one bottle of water instead of three and we dying because we were running without water. Finally, we came to a seven eleven and bought water. Think we were kinda slow cause of that. We walked all the way from Orchard to Great world city where our Amazing race ended and we went back to school. We did more pumpings after that cause we were slow. We almost died then cause the track was so hot and they kept recounting when someone among the 60 of us didn't do properly. Yanning was so pissed of she almost cried and I could see that some of the guys like Wilson beside me was hardly holding on. It was really so depressing seeing the whole team slowly falling out as they couldn't hold on.

Then, we were given free time to plan a game to be held for other houses on sunday and a performence for that night's barbecue. The game was rather fast as we already decided to do something like Hockey and golf. The players had to be blindfolded and get the ball in. The performence was the really hard part. All of us had different ideas on what to do. And we still had to get food for that night's barbecue. In the end we split up. Most of the guys went to get the food as they were stronger and could carry more while the girls + lihao (games IC) stayed back to decide on the performence and write the games proposal.

Finally, the barbecue started, it was really the one of the funnest parts of the camp. There wasn't alot of food so most of us didn't eat alot, think most people were more interested in the programme.

Martin and Tiffany kicked of the night by emceeing.

Gamma started off with "Battle of Superheroes" where two girls are playing their playstation and summon their superheroes to battle like superman, ultraman, spiderman and of course... THE POWERPUFF GIRLS.

Next was our turn. Haha! Think ours was the best...

Guess what we did?

Reenacting... Romeo and Juliet... modern version 2.

Of course... since our Romeo's not in house com... and our Juliet was stolen by beta... we had to change everything...

Scene one:

Romeo's mum (Nat) and Juliet's mum (Amanda) are complaining to each other that their sons and daughters won't want to take over their stalls.

[Haha! Two of them super hyper and impromptu. They kept practicing and practicing their parts cause they enjoyed it sooooo much.]

Juliet's mum: I tell you are... my Juliet hor... pretty, sexy... got nice butt... got alot of guys going after her one. Your romeo leh?

Romeo's mum: My romeo... of course... MACHO larh!

Juliet's mum: eh... why don't your romeo... and my juliet... you know...

Romeo's mum: Yar... then we can combine stalls...

[Two of them super auntie larh! So farnie]

Juliet's mum: JULIET ARH!!!! JULIET! Where are you!?!?!?

Romeo's mum: ROMEO!! Come here. I want to intro you to someone.

Juliet (Played by... none other than... ME! Sorry... forced into it.) and Romeo (Who else other than Mr. Six pack!) enters.

Juliet: What mummy?

Juliet's mum: Come! Meet romeo. See... he so handsome and suave. And... MACHO!

Romeo's mum: yar romeo. See... this is juliet... Okay... we gotta go...you two go par toh okay...

Mums run off.

Juliet and romeo: Err... Hi!

walks one round around pretending to be shy.

Romeo hits Juliet on the arm.

Romeo: Eh juliet! I got something to tell you!

Juliet: Oww! Pain leh. I also got something to tell you...

Juliet hits Romeo back on his back.

Romeo: Wah! Oww... brokeback!

Yenyang enters.

Yenyang: Wa... i also brokeback.

Two of them gaying while Juliet stared in confusion.

Romeo turns back to juliet.

Romeo: Juliet... i got something to tell you. Actually... i'm called Romeo. THat you know. But i'm also Romeo... a.k.a.... Colin. This is my boyfriend (Pulls yenyang) Kero!

Juliet stares in horror.

Juliet: What? How can you do this to me? But... but... I... I love you...

Cries and run off.

Colin and Kero gays off...

Mums enter.

Romeo's mum: I wonder how their date is going.

Juliet's mum: Yar.... oh wait... look... singapore idol.

Both point to a distance away.

Singapore Laoya Idol commercial.

Lihao is a singapore idol judge. Kamun is a contestant chasing after him singing "doncha!"

Lihao runs up the stairs to get away from Kamun.

Lihao: FInally... no more singing.

Anh and Yanning appears singing "You're beautiful. Super out of tune"

LIhao pushes them away.

Lihao starts singing "accidentally in love" and kills others with his singing.

End of singapore idol commercial. Next commercial...

Wilson and Martin are in the "Toilet" peeing. Rishik enters.

Wilson and Martin are talking when they look over and seeing rishik's _______

Wilson and martin: Wa! So... nice!

Wilson: Bet my girlfriend will love me more if i had that.

Martin: Wah... Singapore cannot find one leh... only in eUROPE... eh where you get one...?

Rishik rolls eyes and walks off.

Martin: Eh... don't go leh...

Martin/Wilson: I also wanna get that pair of... nice shoes.

Mums appear and push them off stage.

Juliet appears.

Juliet: How? My romeo... is GAY! He doesn't love me... I think... I'll just... kill myself.

Takes out knife and slits wrist.

lies on floor.

Romeo enters.

Romeo: Oh Juliet! What happened? Why did you commit suicide? Why so silly... you don't have to do that just because I"m with Kero! And I think... I think... I... I'm straight again. and I'm in love with you...

Romeo takes out bottle.

Romeo: Love is great. I shall die with you. This is poison. Juliet... wait for me...

ROmeo drinks poison and lies on the floor almost dying.

Juliet wakes up..

Juliet: Eh! Romeo? WHy are you here? And what are you doing?

ROmeo: I... I... swallowed poison... I... I... thought you were dead?

Juliet: Huh? I play only larh...

Romeo: wHAT?

Romeo dies. Kero runs in.

Kero: Colin! Colin dear dear... why you die? But never mind... I think I'm straight again. And...

Kero looks at Juliet.

Kero: Since... your available now... wanna date me?

Juliet and kero runs off...

Haha! Super hilarious rite?

After that we cleaned up and had nite PT. If started off with games like blindfold and finding your partner, then blinfold one and get your partner across to you picking up an item on the way. My partner was Brian from gamma. Haha... we rawked. We were first to finish.

Then we played the stand on a bench and arrange yourself in order of something without talking. Lastly, was the _hands_legs_stomach etc on the groundsheet.

Too bad... the fun part was short and we went on to have night PT in individual houses. We ran around the track as one faster and faster, then we did incline... almost died there. Then we did wheelbarrow which was even worse after incline and with your hands burnt from pumpings. Then we ran a one more round with rishik carrying Martin.

It was hard, but we made it through. THen we bathed and had reflections by having everyone write possitive and negative stuff about each other and seniors reading it out. I think i sorta know all my negative stuff already. POsitive is I'm quite iniative, have loadsa crazy ideas quite vocal. Bad is a mix with my gang only and I'm kinda insensitive, using words that are too harsh.

Then, we went to sleep. I slept a little more that night.

Day 3

Next morning we did a bit of running and pumping for PT then we ran to ECP. It felt long but after a while, I realised it was quite short.

We then had sea PT where we had to run in water, do pumpings in water, sit up, and star jump. Then, PT for the whole camp was officially over.

We had breakfast before playing each other's games.

During delta's frisbee game, it started off quite well but guys had to pass to girls and girls to guys so when Jon had the frisbee, i ran up to catch it he threw before i stopped and it hit me right in my nose. i just froze there and thought my nose will break or bleed or something like Yingxiu's. Thankfully it didn't.

After that, we lost... duh! But our seniors treated us to ice cream and we sang and cheered while we walked back while beta ran... Umm... contrast again.

After that, we cleaned up and camp finally ended. Then whole alpha went for lunch at macs... sponsored by HC. Then we talked and got to know our seniors better. THink Adilah's really cute. Haha. She wanted to keep her curly fries.

So... yeah... HC camp was super fun. Elections are tomorrow. Hope i get Vice non- sports like i want. But then again... Martin's a really strong competitor...
